From the historic drawing rooms to the three antique dining rooms, you’ll find a different atmospheres and get into places filled with history. As soon as you enter, the small living room immediately make you plunge into the past under the antiques of the Landvogthaus. Imagine a cozy 500 years old swiss manor flooded with light, offering the special historical atmosphere.

Relaxing Rooms

Enjoy the two relaxing rooms: vaulted cellar and oriental room. The places where you can find peace and rest. There is a murmuring water as well as our special musical instruments. In summer, the relaxing cellar also serves to cool down after the heat. You can enjoy these moments with our local herbal teas.

Museum in Nidfurn, Glarus

Visiting the our museum means living an extraordinary event. The ancient art of living and the history from the 16th century. The 500 years old Swiss manor presents on 6 floors, in one of the most picturesque parts of Switzerland.

Historical Toys' Room

The exceptional children's playroom with historical toys is going together with a charming atmosphere, filled with ancient furniture from the canton Appenzell. Your darlings will discover many interesting things and will learn what toys children played generations ago.

Herbal Tea Collection

We offer our guests teas with organic herbs, collected in the nearest surroundings. They promote your health and well-being.

If you would like to try our wild-collected herbal teas, please let us know when you arrive. The in-house tea blends as true discoveries - are rich in taste and vitamins.

Events

We manage your personal event, for you and your family, or friends. The Landvogthaus allows you to choose among several possibilities: whether it is the romantic garden or one of the historical rooms inside the manor.
